A low sloping wide front porch across the entire front expressed the charm of this ranch style home. A new addition incorporated an extension of the front porch on the front and west side.  The existing 8 foot plate height of the entire structure was increased to 10 feet.  The existing one bedroom, bath, and dressing areas were revised to a smaller bath and office, while the master bedroom with fireplace remained intact.  Adjacent to the master bedroom a windowed corridor was added to provide access to two new bedrooms with a Jack-and-Jill bathroom.  On the west end a new horse supply/mud/laundry room was added near the horse arena. The garage expansion accommodated new guest quarters.  Existing redwood lap siding was continued throughout the exterior as well as the exposed 4 x 6 plank porch soffit.
